THIS IS THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE

MACKINAC BRIDGE.  THERE WILL BE TWO

CELEBRATIONS MARKING THIS EVENT.

JULY 27,28, IN ST. IGNACE.  SECOND ONE

TO BE ANNOUNCED.

Red Hat convention, June 1-3.

Lilac festival, June 8-17,  Mackinac Island.

Every year in June St. Ignace holds two car shows.

The antique car show is held the third weekend in June.  June 22,23

The second car show takes place on the last weekend in June. June 28-30. 

Both of these car shows draw thousands and reservations are recommended. 

Antique Wooden Boat Show 

Second weekend in August, held in Hessel. Aug 11

Labor Day Bridge Walk

On Labor Day weekend the State of Michigan allows the public to walk across the Mackinac Bridge, this is a tradition that has been held every Labor Day since 1957.  Sept 3.

The Labor Day bridge walk draws a crowd of upwards of 70,000 people. 

Here again reservations are recommended.
