Lilac festival, June 8-17, Mackinac Island. Every year in June St. Ignace holds two car shows.The antique car show is held the third weekend in June. The second car show takes place on the last weekend in June. Both of these car shows draw thousands and reservations are recommended. Antique Wooden Boat ShowSecond weekend in August, held in Hessel. Labor Day Bridge WalkOn Labor Day weekend the State of Michigan allows the public to walk across the Mackinac Bridge, this is a tradition that has been held every Labor Day since 1957.
